About Me
My name is James Mills, I live in Meridian ID with my 15 year old son. My wonderful fiance Parker, and her 17yr old daughter and the two babies, Sky (3) and Bella (2). We also have 6 cats on the loose with no shortage of things to do.The first time I ever saw someone behind the torch I knew I had to learn this wonderful artform for myself. I bought my first torch in April of 2005, a Carlisle CC and started to teach myself the basics with the help of the wonderful people in the online communities (TheGLDG), and also some local people I met that helped me here and there.
Being mainly self taught has made experimenting with new ideas difficult at times. Maybe because I'm like my son, "I saw it on TV, I could do that". Unfortunately thats not how it works, but this has forced me to study other artists work and experiment with similar designs to broaden my knowledge even further.
I currently work on a GTT Mirage with a Carlisle CC for my backup. I love my Mirage but wouldn't trade the CC for anything, its where it all started for me and I'm kinda sentmental about it.
